The last time we came out to the vernal pools at Santa Rosa it was full of water and tadpoles. This Saturday the water was mostly gone leaving behind it a little boys dream play land! Grasshoppers made fun counting on the mile there and back, we watched dragon flies emerge from their chrysalises, snakes swam through the water and all of those tadpoles are now frogs! If you ask Colin what his favorite animal of the day was he'll tell you it was the "yote coyote" that darted in front of the car on the way home. Sean must have told me a dozen times after we left that he just wanted a pet frog. Aaron had the camera so that explains where he is in all these!

Wow........that looks like such a great outing for the family.Did the boys walk all the way?
Yeah, we don't usually bring a stroller but it was nice to have somewhere to put the snacks and Finn rode a little ways.
