When I first noticed the Willow Tree collection I didn't think much of them. I am not a knick-knack kind of lady and so 2 years ago when I decided I needed one of these carved creations I kind of surprised myself. I really wanted to start with either the mom and toddler or the father and the baby.
But when I went in to buy my first piece last month I stood and stared at the collection and my eyes welled with tears when I spotted the the mother and son. Not a baby or a toddler, but a son.

I love the pieces you have shown. Have any of the boys commented on the one you have? Of course you know the one I have is holding a cat...no I didn't buy it myself but obviously my friend thought of me when she saw it.

No the kids never have said anything. Aaron noticed of course because it is so unlike to me to have somthing out like that!
